James was born in Los Angeles, California and grew up in Pacific Palisades.   A Palisades High graduate,
James continued his education at Santa Monica College where he received an Associate Arts degree in
1986.   Currently residing in Westchester, James is married 18 years and has two children, ages 15 and 16. James balances his life between family time, work and a social and active lifestyle enjoying his free time
playing golf and paddle tennis.

James has worked in the restaurant industry for a span of 20 years and successfully operated 3 restaurants.
Starting in 1986 at Pelicans Nest in Santa Monica where he began working as a busboy, James worked
his way up to management within two years.   In 1990 James started working at World Café in Santa Monica
as a bartender, manager and ultimately as general manager for five years.   After a brief time working with
Southern Wine and Spirits, James decided he was better suited in management rather than sales and
pursued a position with the very well respected Chaya Restaurant Group.

In 1999 James became the manager of Chaya Venice, eventually taking over general manager duties for
four of the seven years spent at this location.   In an effort to spend more time with family, James changed
industries and joined American Golf Corporation in 2007 as the general manager of the Westchester Golf Course.   In 2009 he achieved the honor of placing 5th out of 99 golf course general managers in the
company's annual business management competition while generating 3 million dollars in sales and
overseeing a 2.5 million dollar renovation project with uninterrupted business.

In November of 2010 James became co-owner of Players Club Golf, an indoor golf and fitness club.
Players Club Golf is a membership-based facility with 55 monthly and over 60 associate (hourly) members.
As co-owner of this business, James duties include day-to-day operations, promotions and
membership sales.   As James passion lies within the hospitality industry, in 2012 he joined
The Hospitality Collective, focusing on operations and new unit development.
