Marketing and Promotion Services

In 1990 after 10 years as a fine dining waiter in Carmel, California, Christopher Meeske was hired for his
first sommelier position at the Pacific Edge Restaurant at the Carmel Highlands Inn which was home to
one of the most innovative food and wine program in the United States, the Masters of Food and Wine,
and whose wine list had just received the prestigious Grand Award from Wine Spectator Magazine.

In 1992 Christopher was offered a position at Charlie Trotter's Restaurant in Chicago, Illinois working
along side Master Sommelier Larry Stone.  That experience solidified the foundation and skill set to
direct his first wine program.   In 1994 Christopher was hired by Joachim Splichal to direct the Grand
Award-winning wine program for his flagship restaurant Patina in Los Angeles California.   Christopher
accumulated a number of awards including multiple James Beard Award finalist nominations for best
wine service in the country as well as being awarded California Wine Writers Association Sommelier
of the Year
.

After a decade at Patina restaurant Christopher gave up one of the country's top sommelier positions
to open Mission Wines, a boutique fine wine shop located in South Pasadena, California and named
Los Angeles Times best wine shop in the San Gabriel Valley in 2011.   Christopher's classically trained
background has proved to be a huge asset. His tasting acumen and service skills were diligently honed working for years in top restaurants and as current owner of a successful retail wine shop.   That deep knowledge of the best wines and producers of the world informs his every decision.

Christopher joined The Hospitality Collective in 2013 and focuses his efforts for our clients needs to include wine list management, private cellar consultation and food and wine pairing.
