Travis Nobu Kamiyama started sushi at the age of 14, and opened his first business as principal at age 29, followed by his 5th opening of Kamiyama in 2008.   His unstoppable drive and passion continues to give
him incredible opportunities, like the last venture with Royal Caribbean's Allure and Oasis of the Seas, which broke the barrier as the largest cruise ship built to date.   His expertise was imbedded into Izumi Restaurant, which is a combination of Edo-style sushi with contemporary flavors and dishes stemming from the Pacific Rim.   He has been able to market, network, and contract with giants like The Compass Group, Levy Restaurants, Sodexho, Aramark, top hotels and country clubs, Patina Restaurant Group, and Preferred Hospitality, Inc. and is currently in plans to launch 3 more Asian concepts with Royal Caribbean International by the end of 2012.

Travis holds a Bachelor of Economics from California State University, emphasizing in international
trade and organizational leadership.   Through his passion of culinary art and business he has been able to
rapidly solidify his reputation and vision in working with top executives and companies.   He aspires to develop, yet maintain authenticity and basics of Japanese culinary skills, while being open to innovate and collaborate with global flavors and ideology stemming from many of the culinary greats.
